Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup colorful sprinkles or candy-coated chocolates
  • Optional: natural food coloring (beetroot, matcha, turmeric)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  5. Fold in sprinkles or candy. Add natural colors if desired and mix gently.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets and bake for 12–15 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Natural food colorings like beetroot powder or matcha give a fun twist without artificial dyes.
Don’t overbake cookies should be slightly soft in the center when removed from the oven.
Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
