Ingredients
- 1 bag (16 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 strips cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2–3 tbsp cooking oil (or spray)
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- Combine the shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Hollow Out the Tater Tots:
- Using a small spoon or the handle of a utensil, carefully create a cavity in each tater tot.
- Stuff the Tater Tots:
- Fill each cavity with a small amount of the bacon-cheese mixture, pressing gently to secure.

- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the stuffed tots on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Lightly brush or spray with oil.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Frying Method:
- Heat 2-3 inches of oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the stuffed tots in small batches for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
