Welcome to Corner Recipe!

Chef Tima – Inspired by Family, Travel, and Flavorful Memories

about me Chef Tima

Hey there! I’m Chef Tima, the heart behind CornerRecipe a space full of flavor, memories, and love poured into every dish.

I’m a self-taught home cook in my early 30s, and for me, food is more than something we eat it’s a connection to family, to history, and to the moments that make us feel at home. Cooking is where I find joy, creativity, and comfort. But truth be told, my love for cooking didn’t start in a fancy kitchen… it started in my grandmother’s.

The Soul Behind My Cooking – My Grandma

Some of my most precious memories are in the kitchen with my grandmother. She didn’t use measuring cups or timers she used her senses, her stories, and her heart. I watched her make meals that brought the whole family together. Her hands moved with purpose, and every dish carried tradition and care.

She taught me that cooking is not just about feeding people, it’s about nurturing them, celebrating them, and bringing them comfort when words fall short. Her kitchen smelled like warm spices and love. That’s the feeling I try to capture in every recipe I share with you here.

Even now, years later, her influence is with me. Whether I’m recreating one of her beloved dishes or giving it a modern twist, I feel like I’m keeping her legacy alive one recipe at a time.

Why I Created CornerRecipe

When I first started cooking on my own, I was overwhelmed. Recipes felt confusing, steps seemed intimidating, and I didn’t always get it right. But with time, I learned that cooking doesn’t need to be perfect it just needs to be real.

I created CornerRecipe because I wanted to build a space where cooking feels simple, soulful, and welcoming. Where beginners can find confidence, and food lovers can find inspiration. A space filled with tried-and-true favorites, creative twists, and heartfelt moments just like the ones I had growing up.
